Funds are available in Alliant Energy service area for UI Arts Share events

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The Arts Share/Alliant Energy Foundation Access to the Arts project allows any school or community in the Alliant service area to receive up to half of a University of Iowa Arts Share event’s total cost in grant money. Funds are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Arts Share is a UI program that provides artistic expertise from the Iowa Center for the Arts to schools, local arts councils, community arts associations, museums, senior citizen centers and other organizations throughout Iowa and the surrounding region. The Arts Share roster of touring artists includes nearly 100 faculty members, ensembles and graduate students in the performing, visual and literary arts.

Arts Share and Alliant Energy have maintained a successful partnership over the past four years, providing communities with a variety of arts education outreach events, from large ensemble community performances to visual arts experiences for elementary school students.
