UI selects 121 students as resident assistants for 1999-2000 academic year

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- (NAME) of (HOMETOWN) is one of 121 University of Iowa students appointed as resident assistants for the 1999-2000 academic year.

Resident assistants live in UI residence halls, where they help younger students make the adjustments from high school to college life. They provide educational and social programs and enforce university policies. Each RA is paid a stipend that covers the cost of room and board.

EDITORS: Receipt of this release indicates a student from your circulation area has been appointed as a resident assistant at the UI. Students are listed alphabetically by hometown, with Iowa residents first.
