UI summer enrollment is highest in past 11 years

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Enrollment at the University of Iowa for the 1999 summer session has increased by 375 students, for a total of 11,773, compared to the 1998 summer session, according to a report issued by the UI Office of the Registrar. The 1999 summer enrollment is the highest in the past 11 years.

Some of the total increase of 375 students includes an increase in UI graduate student enrollment, up 205 students over 1998. That increase is largely due to the Henry B. Tippie School of Management’s Evening MBA program offerings in Newton, Des Moines, Muscatine, Cedar Rapids and the Quad Cities.
