CHEEC seeking proposals for its seed grant program
IOWA CITY, Iowa The University of Iowa Center
for Health Effects of Environmental Contamination (CHEEC) is requesting proposals
for its 2000 Seed Grant Program.
Proposals must arrive at CHEEC by 5 p.m., Nov. 1 in
order to be considered. Awards will be announced by Dec. 31, 1999.
The grants are intended for projects that stimulate
the growth or development of innovative lines of environmental research, provide
for public education or enhance the knowledge base of the environmental health
community. Faculty of public or private colleges or universities in Iowa,
researchers and educators affiliated with state environmental or health agencies,
and other qualified researchers and educators are encouraged to apply.
