UI Foundation executive staff appointments announced
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Mark Wunder of Kansas City, Mo., and
Bill Spencer of Colorado Springs, Colo., have joined the University of Iowa
Foundation development staff.
Wunder, who will serve as director of development for
the UI College of Law, graduated from the UI College of Liberal Arts in 1984
and the UI College of Law in 1987. He was a clerk for the Iowa Court of Appeals
in Des Moines before joining a private law firm in Kansas City. He most recently
was claims counsel for Employers Reinsurance Corp., Overland Park, Kan. Wunder
has served since 1996 as president of the Greater Kansas City Iowa Club, sponsored
by the University of Iowa Alumni Association.
Spencer will serve as assistant director of Gift Planning.
He graduated from Colorado College in 1996 and previously was involved in
Fellowship in Community Service at El Pomar Foundation of Colorado Springs,
a professional leadership development program at the largest philanthropic
foundation in the Rocky Mountain region. He also has worked in financial and
real estate markets.

experience will allow them to play key roles as the UI Foundation serves UI
alumni and friends who support programs across campus."
The University of Iowa Foundation is the preferred channel
of support for private contributions to all areas of the University of Iowa.
Foundation staff members work with alumni and friends to provide support for
a broad range of programs and projects at the University of Iowa.
