VIRTUAL CAREER FAIR APRIL
12 to APRIL 23 -- The UI Business and Liberal Arts Placement Office is offering
a web-based career fair targeting full-time positions for seniors and alumni
with business or liberal arts degrees.
Students and alumni can register online April 12 through
April 23 at www.biz/uiowa.edu/placemnt/libarts to receive a password allowing
them to access approximately 50 job opportunities from over 40 companies.
They will have the option of submitting an electronic resume online or submitting
a hard copy resume at the Business and Liberal Arts Placement Office (BLAPO)
at 24 Phillips Hall, according to Laurie Dufoe, associate director of BLAPO.
"We believe this will be a convenient way for companies
to connect with UI students and alumni," said Dufoe. The fair marks the first
time BLAPO has collected resumes online; it is one of the few college placement
offices in the U.S. who are conducting online career fairs, she added.
For more information, contact Dufoe at (319) 335-1023.
