Volunteers sought to plant perennials and daffodil bulbs Oct. 17
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Though fall colors are just beginning to appear,
a group of volunteers is gearing up for a show of springtime splendor.
Hardy perennials and hundreds of daffodil bulbs will be planted on the
University of Iowa campus this month in the third annual "UI in Bloom"
Volunteers are invited to help with the planting Saturday, Oct. 17 from
9 a.m. to noon. The group will meet at Hubbard Park across from the Iowa
Memorial Union. Volunteers who own trowels, bulb planters, or other tools
are encouraged to label equipment and bring it to use. The rain date will
be Sunday, Oct. 25 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Free parking is available in the IMU Ramp, North Campus Ramp and the
