UI CAMPUS NOTES -- IOWA CENTER FOR THE ARTS

RICK HARSCH READS AT PRAIRIE LIGHTS NOV. 16 -- University of Iowa Writers' Workshop graduate Rick Harsch will read from his new novel, "Billy Verite," at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Prairie Lights Books, 15 S. Dubuque St. in downtown Iowa City.

Harsch, whose debut novel, "The Driftless Zone," received critical acclaim, received the Michener/Copernicus Award for "Verite." He lives in La Crosse, Wis., where he is at work on the third novel in the La Crosse trilogy.

The reading, which is free and open to the public, will be broadcast live on radio stations WSUI AM 910 and WOI AM 640 as part of the "Live from Prairie Lights series."
