'Food and The Arts' Exhibition on view at UI Library through March
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa Libraries special collections
department is presenting a special exhibition highlighting "Food and
The Arts." The exhibition will be on view through March and is free
and open to the public.
The UI Libraries and its Szathmáry Collection of Culinary Arts
show of the prevalence and range of interests in the connections between
food and the arts--painterly, literary, and cinematic. This exhibition
features works on food and such artists as Cezanne, Toulouse-Lautrec, Renoir,
and Picasso; culinary fiction, culinary prose and poetry, culinary artist's
books by Annie Tremmel Wilcox, and culinary mysteries and movies.
The University of Iowa Libraries special collections department is located
on the 3rd floor of the Main Library. Regular hours are Monday - Friday,
