Hancher adds May 1-3 performances of 'Stomp' to spring schedule at
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- For the fourth season in a row, the University of
Iowa Hancher Auditorium will present the percussion/dance spectacle "Stomp."
The auditorium has added four "Stomp" performances to its spring
schedule, at 8 p.m. Friday, May 1; at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday, May 2;
and at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3.
"Stomp" is the British-born international hit in which percussionists
with an attitude clog with oil drums strapped to their feet, hammer auto
parts while rappelling, and generally bang on just about everything, including
the kitchen sink.
"Stomp" tickets are now on sale at the Hancher box office
for $32, $29 and $27. UI students and senior citizens qualify for a 20-percent
discount; and tickets for audience members 17 and younger are half price.
