UI to host internal medicine conference
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa College of Medicine will host
"Progress in Internal Medicine" Oct. 23-24 at Medical Alumni
Auditorium, E331 General Hospital, at the UI Hospitals and Clinics.
Designed for primary care physicians and other health care professionals,
the program will focus on a broad range of clinical issues in internal
medicine. Topic presentations include HIV, obesity, diabetes, health and
exercise, stroke, diabetes, and allergic rhinitis, among others.
Dr. Gary Gerstenblith, professor of internal medicine and director of
clinical trials, cardiology division, at Johns Hopkins University, will
deliver a presentation titled, "Consequences of Cardiovascular Aging"
on Oct. 23 at 1 p.m.
Continuing medical education credits are available. For registration
