Plastic surgeon Aly to lecture at Brown Bag Series at UIHC
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Dr. Al Aly, assistant professor of plastic and reconstructive
surgery at the University of Iowa, will give a series of three noon-time
"Brown Bag" lectures on facial and cosmetic surgery. The lectures
will be Oct. 14 and 28, and Nov. 25, 1997 in the East Room at the UI Hospitals
and Clinics from noon - 1 p.m.
The topic of the first lecture Oct. 14 will be "Facelift Surgery."
On Oct. 28, Aly will discuss "Eyelid and Forehead Lifts," and
on Nov. 25, "Nasal Surgery or Rhinoplasty." The lectures will
include a slide presentation and an opportunity for questions from the
audience. Participants are encouraged to bring their lunches. Coffee and
tea will be provided.
Aly received his medical degree from Georgetown University and came
to the UI after training at UCLA, Vanderbilt University, the University
of California at Irvine, and most recently the University of Miami. He
has completed residencies in otolaryngology -- head and neck surgery --
facial plastic surgery and plastic surgery. He has special expertise in
the areas of breast reconstruction, and aesthetic and cosmetic surgery
of face, nose, breast and body.
