UI arts preview publication ArtsIowa is now available on World Wide Web

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- ArtsIowa, the University of Iowa publication that previews events and exhibitions at the Iowa Center for the Arts, is now accessible on the World Wide Web. The on-line version of ArtsIowa, which includes a detailed arts calendar that extends through the UI fall semester, can be viewed as part of the UI web site, at <http://www.uiowa.edu:80/~ournews/ArtsIowa/AIhome.html.

In addition to information and images representing Hancher Auditorium, the UI Museum of Art, University Theatres, the UI School of Music, the dance department, the Iowa Writers' Workshop, the International Writing Program and the UI School of Art and Art History, the ArtsIowa home page includes links to other UI arts web sites and links to general UI web pages of potential interest to people searching for cultural and educational information and events.

The summer ArtsIowa features articles about the Iowa Summer Rep festival of comedies by Neil Simon, the upcoming UI Opera Theater production of Gilbert and Sullivan's "The Mikado" and current exhibitions at the UI Museum of Art.

The ArtsIowa calendar features links that allow readers to jump to each remaining month of 1997, and the calendar listings include ticket-buying information and contact numbers for additional information about events. The calendar will be updated at least every week.
