UI offers Evening MBA courses at Cedar Rapids, Newton, Quad Cities

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Working business professionals who are interested in pursuing a master of business administration (MBA) degree from the University of Iowa College of Business Administration have a full slate of evening and weekend classes to choose from this spring at the business school's three off-campus sites.

Courses are offered each semester during evening hours in Cedar Rapids, the Quad Cities and Newton. The program is co-administered by the UI Division of Continuing Education.

"Our curriculum is designed for college graduates who want to upgrade their skills for a professional career in business or the public sector," says Colleen Downie, director of the Evening MBA Program. "Students come to the program from a variety of backgrounds, majors, and professional experience and really thrive on the high-quality educational experience our faculty provide."

Classes are taught by faculty of the UI College of Business Administration at the college's three off-campus learning sites. The facilities include classrooms, computer centers and space for faculty and student meetings.

To earn a degree, students must be admitted to the program and complete a total of 45 credit hours. Students who are admitted to the MBA program have priority for class spaces.

Slots are available for non-admitted students who want to take classes in the spring semester prior to formal admission.

Tuition and fees are $738 for a three-credit-hour course.

For questions about admission to the program, or for help with course selection, contact the UI School of Management at 1-800-MBA-IOWA. Or visit the program's website at http://www.biz.uiowa.edu/mba/vmba/index.html
