UI symposium to address arthritis and related disorders
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The department of internal medicine at the University
of Iowa College of Medicine will host the 8th Annual Iowa Rheumatology Symposium
Thursday April 10.
"The symposium will discuss current topics on the causes, diagnosis
and treatments of arthritis and related disorders," says Dr. Kenneth
Saag, UI assistant professor of internal medicine and symposium director.
Topics will include rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, joint replacement surgeries,
chronic pain syndromes and the immune system as it relates to arthritis.
The symposium is open to physicians, nurses and other health care professionals.
